Deb has worked extensively with teachers, youth, and adults in a variety of K-12, university and professional settings. Her involvement with understanding the structure and function of the brain dates to the beginning of her career as a secondary science teacher. During her twent-one year secondary teaching career she taught Human Anatomy and Physiology classes to hundreds of students and has always been fascinated with how the brain and nervous system functions. Since leaving the secondary classroom, Deb has been designing and delivering professional development training on a variety of topics, conducting science education outreach programs and teaching at the university level. She has presented at numbersous state, regional and national education conventions and conferences, including ASCD, NSDC and NSTA. Deb's specific areas of professional interest include brain compatible teaching stratigies, the adolescent brain, hands-on, mind-on teaching and presentation strategies, and science education.

JC Boushh is a recognized expert in the field of play, recess, playground, and the outdoor classroom as it applies to brain development and brain-compatible design. He has lectured worldwide as well as authored numerous articles on play and the outdoor environment. He is a member of The Association for the Study of Play, The International Play Association/USA, a Participating Member of ASTM International F15.29, a Board of Trustee Member of the International Playground Contractors Association, and a member of NAEYC Play, Practice, & Policy Group. He has a deep commitment to preserving all children’s right to play. He is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector, SAFE Certified by the National Program for Playground Safety, a Certified Early Childhood Outdoor Play Inspector, and has been recognized by the California State Legislature for his contribution to designing children's play environments. He is the head designer for Design for Play, and serves as a project manager and play consultant specializing in designing for children’s developmental needs through play.

Anne Marie brings fifteen plus years of teaching and literacy leadership experience to her brain research presentations. As a literacy specialist, she is active in presenting workshops to her own district as well as to others nationally and internationally. She is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of brain research and its application to designing and delivering brain-friendly lessions in optimal learning enviornments. Anne has been trained by Pat Wolfe and receives excellent evaluations in response to her workshops. She is an adjunct professor for the University of South Florida. She holdsa a M.S. in Reading and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on childhood education and brain research.

Dr. Stephen Rushton is a tenured Professor at the University of South Florida, where he has been teaching for the last eleven years. His research focuses on teacher effectiveness, specifically connecting the recent discoveries in brain research to the educational arena. He has presented numerous workshops and presentations in the United States, Europe and more recently in Asia. He has specialized in brain-based learning, communication skills, and interpersonal, social-emotional relationship within the learning process. He is the author of Teaching and Leading from the Inside Out: A model for reflection, exploration and action as well as the author of over 15 journal articles and 30 plus presentations at both National and International conferences.
